I wouldn't expect a suspension either. It's amazing that a player of his talent puts his team in situations where he is off the ice, in the box or suspended, not on the ice scoring and making plays. Pretty selfish.

I doubt he'll even be fined by the NHL FO - they like that stuff from Boston. When will everyone realize that, even though he's a good player, the guy is a dirty, cheap-shot, weasel, or rat, that doesn't do the hit face-to-face - it's always when the players' back is turned - and in Harrington's case, he was on his knees.

Certainly could be worth a suspension. He does poop like that all the time, hes a total coward and needs some sort of punishment or he will continue.. I could see him getting a game but I have my doubts.

Probably wouldn't be a suspension if he didn't have the history he does - but his rap sheet is long . . . like a roll of TP.
However, like I said above, I'll be surprised if there's anything at all. The NHL DOPS pretty much condones that stuff in the playoffs.

Another player with no history...then yes it's probably not suspension worthy. But we are talking about the biggest cheap shot guy in the league.... it was a jab but it was to the head of a defenseless player, from behind . If the league doesn't suspend him they are just asking for more of his stupidity. I'm hoping for one game and a small fine. What's crazy is fans justifying no suspension for this idiot when it represents everything that the NHL is trying to get rid of.

I think had it been penalized in the game there would be zero talk of a suspension. With no penalty being called I would like to see 1 game. The league would potentially benefit from handing out suspensions for uncalled plays like this as motivation to NOT do this bush league sh!t. At the same time the idea of handing out a suspension for a play that wasn't penalized does rub a lot of people the wrong way and would really need to be regulated to plays that have zero interpretation or room for opinions to be injected.

But since this is the playoffs and 1 PO Game= roughly 3 regular season games I don't think there will be any suspension.

You guys are in lala land if you think the DOPS will EVEN look at it !!! Oh sure . . . the NHL wants to get rid of that kind of crap, wink-wink, but somehow it's still here.
Why - because it's not strictly enforced - by the refs, or by the DOPS. They enable these players to escalate the cheap-shots, punches from behind, slew footing (again from behind), etc. When will The Rat go after a player face-to-face ?? Doh???

However, the officiating crew who did the game and the next crew working game 4 has seen it on video, and officials have long memories when it comes to things like this. It is quite likely this will come back to bite him and the Bruins sometime in the series. the same goes for Chara too.

But it would be great if that happens again and a CBJ player can do to him exactly what Vinny Prospal did to the Wings years ago, that many of us cheered about:
